TASCAM 388 Studio 8 - 1/4" 8-Track Tape Recorder with Mixer - $1,900 (Benton)

This is a great example of a 388.
It has some cosmetic scuffs, see pictures.
I noted that Channel 1 appears to be about 6.
5 dB quieter than the other channels (could be just a calibration issue, but I am not sure).
I also have a small metal piece which I believe was part of the tape cover, but hasn't been re-attached.
None of this affects the overall performance of this classic piece.
Includes original 1985 manual and I will include a few new reels of tape as well.
