The Blues Driver always kinda confused me because I wouldn't imagine a pedal branded for blues musicians to get so raunchy when you crank it up.
For a "driver" this thing has a lot of distortion on tap if you get up there.
To my ear it's in a similar vein to the Bluesbreaker, or JHS Morning Glory.
I can't especially speak to how it performs at an edge-of-break-up type thing since I spent most of my time cranking it up and asking myself if this was really supposed to be a blues pedal.
It's hearty, though.
Good body on the sound.
