FULL TIME HOURLY ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION COUNSELOR - COMPASS ACADEMY, WILLIAMSPORT, PA
Compass Academy in Williamsport PA is in need of an Alternative Education Counselor! In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of students.
You will use behavior modification and positive reinforcement to teach socially acceptable behavior.
You will also be responsible for monitoring student progress and providing support throughout their educational journey.

The qualified Alternative Education Counselor will:
Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students' needs and progress.
Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic issues.
Provide individual and / or group counseling.
The qualified Alternative Education Counselor will have:
Bachelor's Degree or above in an area approved by PDE to administer counseling in Alt Ed.
Credentials include: Certified School Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Certified School Social Worker, Certified/Licensed Therapist, Certified Addictions Counselor (as appropriate), School Psychologist or Psychologist.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
Pass current, applicable clearances.
Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
