Monitor patient health and vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by nurse practitioners and physicians.
Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical histories.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Collaborate with the nursing team, including nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care plans.
Provide resident education on health conditions, medications, and self-care.
Perform wound care and dressing changes.
Administer medications orally, topically, intramuscularly, and subcutaneously.
Operate and maintain medical equipment used in the nursing home.
Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
Assist in emergency situations and provide immediate care as needed.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care.
Help residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing and dressing.
Adhere to nursing standards and regulatory requirements in the nursing home.
Maintain resident confidentiality.
Stay current with nursing practices through continuing education.
