SUMMARY
The Director of Clinical Quality Patient Safety & Risk Management is responsible for directing and coordinating the Clinical Quality/Patient Safety/Risk Management programs/Department to assure completion of all quality related activities as required by State and Federal regulations.
Specifically, the individual in this role performs data collection, data evaluation, and reporting of findings relative to specified quality improvement and risk management activities and makes recommendations to administration about opportunities for quality management; oversees quality management activities, like managing the design, development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives that support Evangelical's commitment to quality of care for its patients; serves as liaison to the organization's insurance carrier; and assists in processing summonses and claims against the facility by working with legal counsel to coordinate the investigation, processing, and defense of claims against the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, educational, legal, or social sciences required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in one or more of the following fields: risk management, quality improvement, health information management, or healthcare administration.
• Prior clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
•Pennsylvania State Police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance, and an FBI criminal history check required.
