*JOB SUMMARY:*
Part-time position to fill the following hours, Thursday and Sunday overnight shifts of 9:00 pm to 9:15 am and shared holidays.
Applicants must be flexible; be able to multi-task; possess well-developed communication and people skills, database experience; and be able to easily handle physical tasks.

*MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
\*1.
Greets guests and provides orientation to the facility’s policies, procedures and services.
Documents guest check-in and check-out in accordance with established policies and procedures.
\*2.
Maintains accurate records of guests registered and balances cash related to room receipts, sale items, and contributions for each shift following established policies and procedures.
\*3.
Follows established procedures to open the House and close the House when applicable.
Documents for the management staff any maintenance or other issues that may require attention.
\*4.
When applicable, conducts and documents the daily House walk through.
\*5.
Informs the appropriate Medical Center Departments of any observations or difficulties with guests or their families.
\*6.
Enforces House rules and abides by House policies and procedures.
Maintains order and a family atmosphere.
Ensures the House is maintained in and orderly and safe manner.
\*7.
Maintains a working knowledge of the Volunteer Handbook, rules, policies and procedures, forwards recommendations for revision to the Program Supervisor/Volunteer Coordinator.
\*8.
Maintains confidentiality regarding guest information, only divulging the minimum data to volunteers so they may perform their duties.
\*9.
Listens and encourages guests to discuss problem(s) with health care personnel as needed.
\*10.
Performs other duties as required or assigned by emergency or other operational reasons for which the employee is qualified to perform.
* Staff is responsible for covering their shift or securing an appropriate replacement for their shift and communicating the switch to House management.
\*Duties 1 thru 10 are considered essential.

This individual should possess exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as a team member.
Database experience
*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:*
Position requires a High school graduate of higher education; prior experience or knowledge of daily office procedures is desirable.
*WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
Work is typically performed in the Ronald McDonald House.
The individual should be able to make frequent rounds of the House.
