As the Clinical Infection Control RN, the purpose of your role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
You will lead and direct a robust team in the identification and implementation of infection prevention goals and objectives throughout the facility under the Director of Nursing and Medical Director.
*Clinical Infection Control RN** **Key Duties:* * Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs.
* Develops and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice and facility philosophy of care consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
* Establishes and implements infection control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to prevent the development of disease and infection.
* Provides education to all departments on the application of infection control principles and procedures to specific situations.
* Develop and implement comprehensive nurse onboarding program, including orientation and training of new nurses and other clinical staff.
* Train and certify staff in CPR, and ensure all staff are current in their certification.
*Clinical Infection Control RN Requirements:* * Experience with Infection Control practices.
* Must have a minimum one-year experience in a health-related facility.
* Graduate of a Registered Nurse degree program of college or university.
* Current CPR instructor certification * Basic computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office, Internet, Web applications, PowerPoint, and Excel.
